Things are looking good for Richemont. Bernard Fornas will leave his position as CEO of Cartier after years spent solidly at the helm, and hand over to Stanislas de Quercize who says goodbye to Van Cleef & Arpels. A man of thought but most of all a man of action, he hands his successor a flourishing brand where he has achieved excellent results. A legendary but also a living brand; a contemporary and, I would say, timeless brand. A forever brand. A true commander, he has steered his craft over the world's seas, and always brought it back to port loaded with treasures.

As the comic playwright Terence wrote, senectus morbus est: old age is sickness of itself. A maxim that is hard to dispute when one considers the amount of problems old age brings in its wake. If, on the other hand, we compare the situation of many of today's "senior citizens" with that of the countless thirty-somethings who must continually fight for their job and their function, I'm already less convinced by Terence's prophesy.
